Medical care at home

If the patient cannot be brought to the clinic, we come to your home.

These visits draw on ~12 years in emergency care, critical care and healthcare management.

Home visits are made by Dr. Amit J. Khandekar, General Physician & Ayurvedic Consultant (BAMS (MUHS), MBA (Healthcare & Hospital Management))

Who home visits are for

  • Elderly, weak or bedridden patients who cannot easily travel
  • Patients recently discharged from hospital
  • People with diabetes, BP, asthma / COPD or other long-term conditions who need regular checks
  • Sudden illness at home, when it is safe to treat at home (see emergency care below)

Follow-up care at home

  • After hospital discharge

A check-up after a hospital stay, with a review of the discharge papers and medicines, plus SpO₂, BP and blood sugar checks, wound care, and care of a Foley's catheter and a Ryle's tube.

  • Elderly and bedridden patients

Medical care at home for elderly, weak and bedridden patients, including BP, blood sugar, SpO₂ and temperature checks, wound dressing, and IV fluids when the doctor advises them after examination.

24-hour emergency on call

Emergency medical care at home

Emergency first aid, initial assessment and stabilisation at home.

24-hour emergency home visits within 5 km of the clinic.

  • Emergency first aid
  • Initial medical assessment
  • Basic stabilisation
  • Treatment of acute conditions that can be managed at home
  • Hospital referral when required

The doctor decides whether care can continue at home or the patient should go to a hospital.

If an ambulance is needed, the doctor can help you contact a Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance through an outside network. The clinic does not run an ambulance, and that service is responsible for the trip.

In serious or life-threatening situations, the patient may need to be moved to a suitable hospital urgently.

For life-threatening emergencies, call 108 immediately.
